Day 1 in the books at the Bollinger Shipyards for the Next Gen Shipbuilders ⚓️
After completing a full week of safety training, our students officially received their PPE today and jumped straight into hands-on welding techniques. The energy at the new Bollinger Training facility was off the charts—our students couldn’t wait to get their hands on the welding torch!
This is real-world experience. This is Work-Based Learning in action.

Repost from Crosby Parker, District Attorney: When you get a moment, please watch the video below. I’m incredibly proud of the IMPACT Mentor Program and the collaboration between the Boys & Girls Club, Gulfport, Harrison County, and Pass Christian School Districts. It has been amazing to see the positive impact this program is having on both the high school student mentors and the elementary school mentees. This is what investing in our young people and strengthening our community is all about!

We appreciate the Gulfport Fire Department for helping our students build important skills that can make a difference in an emergency! 🧯👏
