Our Teams

Color Guard

Color Guard is a drill based after-school activity that follows the guidelines of the Marine Corps Drill and Ceremonies Manual. There are four positions: left rifle, right rifle bearer, U.S.M.C. Flag, and U.S. Flag. We perform at Gulfport high school football games, basketball games, GHS homecoming event, and other requested events, and compete around the country in competitions. To be chosen to perform at an event, a cadet must show discipline, coordination, bearing, and execute rifle/flag movements effectively.

Rifle Team

Rifle Team members meet after school in order to practice shooting for Three-Position Air Rifle competitions. Precision Air Rifle competitions are among the fastest growing sports in the United States. The Rifle Team fires the standing, kneeling, and prone positions.
